The Role
We have earned major ongoing security contracts
and partnerships with our clients. This is a great opportunity for you to help
us deliver them, develop your capabilities and be considered for future
opportunities for your advancement.
As we continue to grow, we now need a Security
Service Technician to join our team. This new role is a full-time, permanent
position working within our Service Department. In this role, you will
use your broad knowledge to deliver the following tasks:
- Performing security
system service and maintenance, troubleshooting, fault finding, programming and
commissioning on alarm and access control systems, various IP camera surveillance
systems, in addition to network routers, switches, NVRs and other hardware.
Training will be provided for systems that you are unfamiliar with.
- Small installations, installing new replacements and
additions to existing systems including cabling, conduits, fitting off and
programming new devices.
- Commissioning systems and testing inputs through to
our security monitoring centre control room.
- Engage with clients, ensuring they always receive a
positive experience and excellent customer service
- Some potential regional works – Generous Living Away
from Home Allowance (LAFHA) provided.
What you need
To be successful in this role, you
will have a significant demonstrated experience in a similar role, and you will
have completed security product training or system certifications
in security solutions, systems such as Hills Reliance, Interlogix Tecom, Inner Range Integriti or Gallagher
would be highly desirable. In addition to this experience and knowledge, you
will also have the following:
- High level technical problem-solving skills
- Proficient IT skills and a strong understanding of
networks
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication (verbal
and written), and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part
of a team
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively and deliver works
within specified appropriate timeframes
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding of WHS obligations and
operational quality requirements
- Willingness to learn new technologies and undergo
training
- Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in your profession
is essential for your ongoing development and success in our team
The following licences are essential:
- South Australian Drivers Licence
- South Australian Security Licence
- ACMA Open Cabling Registration Licence
- White Card
