The Role

Our people are key to everything we do. In this role, you will have the ability to genuinely influence the direction and strategy of our People and Culture (P&C) function through the development and implementation of P&C and business initiatives.

This permanent full-time position is a dream opportunity for a driven P&C professional who understands the needs of a business and the importance of aligning P&C initiatives to enable and support business growth. You will have the ability to work autonomously and influence Team Members on the benefits of P&C initiatives.

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will work closely with our P&C Strategic Advisor. In this key role you, will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the leadership team to manage the development and delivery of people projects, strategies and initiatives
- Research, develop and provide advice and recommendations on how to develop our team members
- Identify and develop recommendations that will positively contribute to the resolution of complex people issues
- Provide internal advice and coaching for leadership on employee relations, industrial relations, workplace agreements, awards, employment and other people matters, ensuring advice supports employees and the organisation
- Lead and advise on change management, organisational design and development, learning and development, job design and other people matters
- Evaluate, develop, improve and manage our P&C processes for talent management, recruitment and selection, onboarding and inductions, performance and career development, workforce and succession planning, compensation, reward and recognition, HRIS, industrial relations and generalist HR, in consultation with key stakeholders
- Coordinate workplace initiatives with a focus on employee engagement and retention such as development, health and wellbeing (including mental health), diversity and inclusion, workplace flexibility and work-life balance
- Apply and maintain a high level of P&C subject matter knowledge, experience and capability
- Work collaboratively in a team-based environment, actively participate and contribute, positively influencing our people and organisation to achieve individual, team, departmental and business objectives alike
- Work with key stakeholders to develop best practice policies, procedures and processes
- Maintain P&C records and relevant documentation

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or another relative discipline
- Experience performing in a similar role or delivering comparable work
- Exceptional knowledge of contemporary P&C practices, with an innate desire to continually learn and develop P&C and business knowledge
- Highly developed administration capabilities supported by intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills
- Familiar and confident with HRIS, IT systems and learning new software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong sense of self awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Ability to engage and influence people
- A great problem solver and critical thinker who uses sound initiative and judgement
- Able to identify and execute priorities with a sense of urgency
- A strong work ethic and high standards which are reflected in your quality of work, attention to detail and ability to deliver
- A positive and genuine team player, who enjoys working collaboratively but also independently
