The Role

In this permanent, full-time position, you will work in a supportive team where you will be responsible for the administration of the accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions, with guidance and support from our Financial Accountant.

In this role, you will be responsible for several key functions including:
- Preparation and processing of all employee payroll payments
- Processing invoices for payment
- Daily transaction reconciliations
- Performing the daily accounts receivable requirements including invoicing, maintenance of repeat invoices, monitoring of aged receivables and maintenance of debt collection processes
- Preparation of banking and records maintenance
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the petty cash fund
- Processing of payments and credit card management
- Assisting the Financial Accountant with end of month and end of year processes, cashflow forecasting and other reporting requirements
- Accounts payable, receivable and payroll tasks as required

You will also be responsible for being a primary reception backup, receiving and directing incoming telephone calls, in addition to general office administration tasks as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience performing in a similar position, with specific experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. It is essential that you have high attention to detail and accuracy, you are an exceptional multitasker and have a strong ability to prioritise to meet strict financial deadlines. In addition, you will also have the following:
- Love the numbers! You will really excel in this position if you have an accounting mindset and commercial awareness
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Highly motivated and organised with an analytical mindset
- Experience and confidence in using accounting software, where experience using Xero would be highly desirable
- Highly proficient in using Windows and Microsoft Office 365, with intermediate Excel skills
- Tertiary qualifications (TAFE or University) in accounting, administration or another relative discipline would be desirable, but not essential
- A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively, but can also work successfully autonomously
- Interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong sense of self awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ)
- A positive “can do” attitude and enjoying yourself at work are essential
