The Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a HSEQ Manager to join our Team! This role is flexible, it can be offered on a part-time basis for an experienced professional if preferred, or full-time for an emerging talent.

This will be a key role within our organisation and the opportunity incorporates a number of accountabilities including, but not limited to:

HSEQ Management Systems
- Delivering Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management system administration and initiatives
- Developing our Integrated Management System (IMS), which conforms to the ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 45001 Safety and ISO 140001 Environmental standards
- Developing IMS documentation and processes
- Implementing new organisational standards
- Managing supplier and subcontractor documentation
- Leading quality improvement projects, such as implementing software solutions to help streamline internal processes
- Conducting site visits, internal audits and reporting
- Creating and maintaining HSEQ related documentation for all Departments
- Providing excellent service to both internal and external customers

Health and Safety Management
- Developing Work, Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures and systems
- Working collaboratively to ensure a compliant and safe working environment, while reinforcing and driving our safety culture
- Conducting hazard and risk assessments and reporting throughout the organisation, creating and implementing effective solutions
- Assisting with incident investigation processes
- Leading and managing our HSEQ Administrator

About You

To succeed in this role, we would expect you to have following knowledge, capabilities and qualities including:
- Tertiary education qualifications in safety or another relative discipline would be desirable
- Training related to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 45001 Safety and/or ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems would be preferable
- Experience performing in a similar role or delivering comparable work
- Highly developed administration capabilities coupled with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Ability to develop complex forms, spreadsheets and documentation of a high standard
- Experience performing on site investigations and reporting would be desirable, but not essential
- A passion for people and safety, sound commercial awareness and embracing technology
- Comfortable with IT systems and learning new software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills and a strong sense of self awareness
- Ability to engage and influence people to develop and implement corrective actions
- A great problem solver and critical thinker who uses sound initiative and judgement
- Able to identify and execute priorities with a sense of urgency
- A strong work ethic and high standards which is reflected in your quality of work, attention to detail and ability to deliver
- A positive and genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively but also independently
